Skipper Andy Meakin said “its going to be a tough season this year. We won every game bar one in 2021 to win the Division 4 title, but Division 3 is a completely different kettle of fish. Whilst we have been busy playing with the sticklebacks, we’re now swimming in a pool of pike, all waiting to eat us for breakfast.”
Secretary Jonathan Fagan added “we could do with a couple more players who know one end of a bat from the other and don’t suffer from gout, excessive wind, various diseases or a general apathy to sport.”
